Maximilian C. Scardelletti
is an electrical engineer in the Communications Division at the
National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Glenn Research Center
in Cleveland, Ohio. His interests include microwave thin-film circuit
and antenna design, fabrication, and characterization; silicon germanium
(SiGe) transistor design for microwave systems; and the development
of nanostructures for biomedical devices.
Mr. Scardelletti earned his bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in electrical engineering from the University of South Florida,
Tampa, Florida, in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He is currently
working toward his doctoral degree in microwave microelectromechanical
systems (MEMS) at Case Western Reserve University.
Mr. Scardelletti has created processing techniques for MEMS–IC
that enabled the development of microwave switches at NASA Glenn.
Currently he is working on the further development of MEMS technologies
and SiGe transistors for Ku- and Ka-band devices for space communication
and radar systems.
