Calvin Ramos is chief
of the Satellite Networks and Architectures Branch at the National
Aeronautics and Space Administration's Glenn Research Center at
Lewis Field in Cleveland, Ohio. This branch works to identify and
develop innovative protocols and technologies to extend Internetlike
functionality to aeronautical and space-based nodes.
Mr. Ramos is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
He earned his master’s degree in business administration from
Baldwin Wallace College.
Previously, Mr. Ramos led the Glenn Telecommunications and Networking
Branch and was responsible for the planning, architecture, operation,
and maintenance of the Centerwide communications infrastructure.
Prior to coming to NASA, he spent 6 years as a communications officer
for the U.S. Army.
