Gene Fujikawa is chief
of the Digital Communications Branch at the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration's Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field
in Cleveland, Ohio. The research conducted in his branch is focused
on integrated digital communication hardware systems with emphasis
in the areas of signal processing, secure network devices, and reconfigurable
technology for wireless communications.
Mr. Fujikawa received his bachelor’s degree in electrical
engineering from Cleveland State University, and his master’s
degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toledo.
He has expertise in digital and microwave communications systems
and has managed technology developments on many NASA projects and
programs, including the Advanced Communication Technology Satellite
and the New Millennium Program. Mr. Fujikawa has authored or coauthored
18 technical papers and has received many awards and recognition
for his work during his career at NASA Glenn and NASA Headquarters.
