Internet Protocols
Our objective is to allow multimedia-based applications to seamlessly operate over satellites with terrestrial networks by overcoming limits in widely used protocols due to satellite characteristics (delay, noise, etc.).

Members of the Internet Protocols Team.

We are currently examining proposed extensions to the widely used TCP and HTTP protocols. The results will aid the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)'s TCP Over Satellite Working Group in making recommendations to improve networking over satellites that use these protocols. We are also currently working on a network emulator that allows the testing of network protocols in a controlled environment.
