Amy Renee Asmus received her B.S. in Engineering Physics from Ohio State University in 2002, and her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University in 2005. Her graduate coursework focused on biomechanics, finite element analysis, statistics, and mechanical design. Her Masters Thesis involved a biomechanical analysis using EMG and wrist electrogoniometers on the hand-wrist system while performing a pruning task, titled, “The effects of pruning tool design parameters on muscle activity, wrist posture, and perceived effort.”
Her co-op experience at NASA began in 2001 fabricating prototype MEMS in a clean room environmentto be used in space communications. As a co-op she was also involved with design and testing of antennas using a network analyzer. She is currently working with a team to develop the AVEA suit communications systems and surface network communications. |
